Setup steps for Isolat8
Upon first launch you will be presented with the setting screen. You will see two initial settings that should be configured automatically.
- Chrome Path
- Profiles Path
Chrome Path is the location of your Google Chrome installation. The default location is set but if Chrome installed in a different area click the 3 dots on the right of the field and select your custom location. If you experience crashing when attempting to open a profile, you need to make sure your Chrome Path is correct. The easiest way to do this is to click the 3 dots to the right of the field and verify that Chrome is selected.
The default Chrome install location is “C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe” if that doesn’t work then you most likely have the alternative install location which is “C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe”.
Another way to find the correct location is if you have a desktop shortcut. Right click the shortcut and click “Open file location”. That will open the correct directory.
Profiles Path refers to the folder where you’d like the data profiles stored for the browser profiles. By default we are storing profiles in your Document folder in a newly created folder named “Isolate8 Profiles”. If you’d like to change to a different folder, just select the 3 dots to the right and choose a new folder location.
Next you will need to input your license key(Serial Code).
Go to the License tab and insert the license key you would have received at checkout.
After entering your license key, you will be prompted to input your name and email. This is for record keeping in case you need to contact support.
After your license is verified, you will be able to see the activation date and expiration date anytime in the application.
In order to apply a new license key, you must wait until your existing key has expired.
At this point you are ready to start using Isolat8.
